911 Terms and Conditions

Please read the IMPORTANT 911 information below.

The Federal Communications Commission requires Voice over Internet Protocol (“VoIP”) telephone service providers to give their customers information about using “911” emergency services from VoIP phones. Please review the information below and click the “I understand” check box to show that you have read and understood it. If you have questions, please contact us at 1-877-7PLUGIN (1-877-775-8446) for more information.

CURRENT Voice® service (the "Service") provides access to "911" emergency services in a different manner than – and is subject to limitations that do not apply to – traditional telephone service.

  • You cannot call E911 emergency service using CURRENT Voice service in the event of (1) a power outage that affects your home or the electric distribution network servicing your home; (2) an outage in the communications networks over which CURRENT Voice service is provided; or (3) if the equipment in your home that you use for the Service malfunctions or is installed incorrectly.

  • It is a violation of our service agreement to use your CURRENT Voice Telephone Adapter at any location other than the service address that we have on record for your account. If you move your Telephone Adapter to another location, any 911 calls you place using the service will not operate properly.

  • If you wish to establish service at a different address, you must first call CURRENT Communications.
I have read and understand the information above. I agree to release CURRENT Communications Services, LLC and its affiliates and underlying suppliers from any and all claims arising out of the failure of emergency services resulting from any of the conditions described in this notice.
